I've been a keen mountain biker for a number of years and only recently discovered the joys of road cycling.
In the previous year (2015) I rode a total 307 miles on my road bike, according to Strava, mainly around the rural country lanes of Dorset.
In September 2015 I completed my first charity Sportive, riding 50 miles across the New Forest for Orchid Men's Cancer charity.
I will have (just) turned 45 years of age before I commence the London to Amsterdam ride on Friday 3rd June 2016.
Born in Poole hospital in 1971, I have lived in Dorset all of my life. Schooled in Hamworthy, Merley and Kinson, I now live in the peaceful and lovely market town of Wimborne. Very proud father to two very beautiful daughters aged 12 and 18.
Professionally I work for construction company Spaceway as their Head of Marketing.
